A bit about me
Creating, learning and improving in small increments
Writing about myself is a bit awkward for me, but I have put together a few words here hoping I don’t sound to pretentious and hopefully I capture some thoughts that may help you get to know more about me.
I love design of all kinds, I enjoy creating things, building things, making things better and easier and enjoy solving problems. It is a large part of who I am. The understanding of the principles of design came a bit second nature to me, they just made sense. With this understanding and a lot of learning I have created companies and products with co-workers, friends and many talented people. I have experienced many great successes and many miserable failures.
Becoming a father of two young girls has taught me a lot about myself. My understanding for what I don’t know has grown as I try to do my best at being a supportive, present and loving father. I am learning some of the same things they are. Being a dad has shown me my happiest place is where I am able to be of service to others.
I have been a youth soccer coach for about 8 years. It takes a lot of time and patience, but it has given me so much. I really don’t know how to explain it. I have always tried to encourage my players to confront their insecurities, do the difficult thing versus the easy thing and to surrender to the situation and give it all that they have. At times I think I may be coaching myself.
I am a simple guy, I like simple, beautiful and sensible things and genuine people. I enjoy working with others. I try to offer what I may know and hopefully learn along the way. I try to remain teachable. Improving myself in small increments over time.
